Gum Treatment in Dubai

Don't let gum problems ruin your smile.

When it comes to oral health, taking care of our gums is equally as important as looking after our teeth.

Our gums form a tight seal around our teeth to keep them in place and provide a barrier against bacteria that can damage the jawbone and cause tooth loss.

Poor oral hygiene is the most common cause of gum disease. However, other factors such as smoking, systemic diseases like diabetes, hormonal changes, and other medications may worsen the condition of our gums.

What is Gum Disease?

Periodontal disease, also called gum disease, is a serious inflammatory condition that destroys the gums and bones that support the teeth. The early stage of gum disease, called gingivitis, is often silent and pose little or no discomfort.

Without intervention, plaque will spread and grow below the gum line. The toxins produced by the bacteria induces an inflammatory response, and our body’s own attempt to fight the infection breaks down the tissues and bones that hold the teeth in place.

Gum disease is reversible with good oral hygiene regimen and professional treatment. Without treatment, it can loosen the teeth and lead to tooth loss.
