Dr. Chantal Kengo

Dr. Chantal has over 30 years of experience in both public and private practice in Belgium, Congo, Canada, France, the UK and the UAE.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Chantal is an expert in preventative dentistry including oral habit counseling (thumb sucking, mouth breathing and pacifier use), myofunctional, and restorative dentistry. She is trained in hypnosis and conscious sedation which are important tools in providing care for children who are too young or too distressed to cooperate.

Dr. Chantal received her dental degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles School of Dental Medicine (Brussels, Belgium) in 1985. She earned her postgraduate degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the Université René Descartes School of Dental Sciences (Paris, France) in 2003, and completed a specialized program in Conscious Sedation from the same university in 2009.

She fulfilled an extensive year of training in Ericksonian Hypnosis from the Francophone Association of Medical and Dental Hypnosis in Paris in 2015. A year later, she completed an advanced training for Laser-Assisted Dentistry from Association Universitaire d’ Implantologie in Paris where she ranked 3rd out of 50 students.

Dr. Chantal trained in Myobrace® and the Buteyko approach with Dr. John Mew at the London School of Facial Orthotropics in 2019. This approach in interceptive orthodontics allows Dr. Chantal to guide her young patients’ teeth into their ideal position and improve their overall oral health naturally without the need for braces.

She speaks French, English, and Lingala.
